WAN Optimization Reports for Orion

These reports enable you to track and validate wide area network (WAN) traffic optimization from Riverbed Steelhead appliances. If you are not a current Orion customer, you can download the free 30 day Orion evaluation from support.solarwinds.com/.../MoreSoftware.cfm and the Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer module evaluation from support.solarwinds.com/.../MoreSoftware.cfm

It's a great idea but unfortunately doesn't work too well for me. It fails via the HTTP interface ("Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'Where'.") and when it runs via the Report Generator application I get non-sensical results. Help? Orion 9.1 Sp4

Hi,

I followed the instructions and created the reports, but some of the percentages in the report are positive integers and some negative with one outlier consistently showing ~2100%.

Is this common or is there a workarountd / future patches maybe?

Hi,

thanks for these reports, unfortuantely, I got the same problem as ross.slavov. Where do the negative values come from?

I don't believe that our riverbeds are generating traffic on their own...

This report is great! Thank you for putting this together. One question, I am getting a zero value for %Optimized Ratio and %Optimized Packets. Do I need to install a custom poller to get this data?

Our reports are coming up blank. I took a look at the reports and the SQL query doesn't point to any specific node information that would be impacted by any Custom Properties we may have updated. Not sure if any dependencies have been broken, which is resulting in no data.
Orion Core 2012.1.0, SAM 5.0.0, IPAM 3.0, NPM 10.3, NTA 3.9.0, IVIM 1.3.0
I verified nothing has changed with the interfaces. I repolled all the parent devices and validated the interfaces were functioning. When I run a WAN Optimization report for any length of time, it returns "No activity to report". This report was functioning before we upgraded IPAM 2.0.1 to 3.0.0, NPM from 10.2.2 to 10.3.0, and Orion Core to 2012 1.0.
