So what's new in SRM 2019.4?

As a long time, popular request both in THWACK and customer interviews, we are very excited to announce support for Dell EMC® Data Domain arrays. Generally speaking, backup storage arrays are something we get asked about often, which is why the release of Data Domain support is additionally exciting.

And as we always try to do, out of the box, Data Domain support includes all the standard features you know and love: capacity utilization and forecasting, performance monitoring, end-to-end mapping in AppStack™, integrated performance troubleshooting in PerfStack™, and Hardware Health.

Over the year, we have spoken to many of our customers about their storage troubleshooting process and needs. In these conversations, it became clear that without a window into the performance of the onboard storage controller, there was an incomplete view. The performance and configuration of these processors is an important part of a storage infrastructure, and we knew that it was important that we enabled the ability to monitor, report, and alert on their metrics.

It is for these reasons that we are excited that, with SRM 2019.4, for the first we are providing a view for Controller performance, starting with the Dell EMC VNX CLARiiON device.
