LEM - New Core Switches Having SLA Alerting Issues

Hello All,

Thought I would save others from the headache I encountered with IP SLA alerting after upgrading our core switches from the C4900Ms to the C9500s.

To keep it short, Cisco decided to add spacing around the arrow in the IP SLA syslog which affected alerting. The fix was to add spacing around the arrow in all of the IP SLA rules as show below.

Before Core Change IP SLA Syslog Example:

"Feb 17 21:00:55.764 EDT: %TRACKING-5-STATE: 212 ip sla 212 reachability Up->Down"

After Core Change IP SLA Syslog Example:

"Feb 17 21:00:55.764 EDT: %TRACKING-5-STATE: 212 ip sla 212 reachability Up -> Down"

Hope this helps!
