Updated from Previous Version 3/30/2017 - Previous Version relied on Hardware Asset inventory. If the processor count didn't exist, the field would be blank. Modified query in report to count the Indexes for CPU's per system
from CPUMultiLoad table.
To Be Used with Report Writer
Place the report in: \Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports
Then open in Report Writer.
It will show up under APM: Historical Reports.
This server usage report contains the following information:
NodeID, Node Name, Machine Type, IP Address, Processor Count, OS, Manufacturer, Model, Avg CPU Load, Peak CPU Load, Total Memory, Avg Percent Memory, Average Memory Used, Peak Memory Used
Note: Data is summarized by week, but you can enter any range you wish, just remember if you want the last 7 days and the last 7 days spans two weeks you will have a row for each week.
Custom Date Ranges:
At the top of the SQL statement you will want to modify the dates for a start and end range.
These are the statements:
DECLARE @StartDate DATETIME = '2017-03-20 00:00:00.000'
DECLARE @EndDate DATETIME = '2017-03-25 23:59:59.997'
Why Use this report?
This report is useful if you want to figure out which physical servers to move to virtual server. It doesn't filter out virtual machines or use thresholds, so I'd suggest either modifying the SQL code or exporting the report to excel or CSV to filter out the undesired systems.
This report was created because I couldn't find an easy way to join asset info with node info, IE: processor count, etc...
The report results will be similar to this:
