VNQM v4.2.2 HotFix 1 - NOW AVAILABLE!

    ISSUE ADDRESSED:

    • The "Failed Calls" graph shows incorrect data
    • The registration time of phones is incorrect on the call manager
    • An error occurs in the Custom Object resource when adding operations

    REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION:

    This hotfix requires VoIP and Network Quality Manager version 4.2.2.

     

    Pre-Installation Instructions:

    1. This extracted zip folder contains a setup.exe file.
    2. Run setup.exe on the Orion server on which VNQM is installed.
    3. When you run the executable, it will detect the version of VNQM on the server and extract the files into the same folder where the .exe file was saved.

     

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Services Manager.

    2. Stop all Orion services.

    3. Back up the following files:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\VoIP Monitor\SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Pollers.dll
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\bin\SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Web.dll
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\CallManager\ConnectedPhones.ascx.cs
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\FailedCalls.ascx
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\MinMaxAvgJitterGraph.ascx.cs
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\MinMaxAvgPacketLossGraph.ascx.cs

    4. Copy the SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Pollers.dll file from this hotfix and place it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\VoIP Monitor\ folder.

    5. Copy the SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Web.dll file from this hotfix and place it in the C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\bin folder.

    6. Copy the ConnectedPhones.ascx.cs file from this hotfix and place it in the C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\CallManager folder.

     

    7. Copy the following files from the hotfix and place them in the C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails folder:
    FailedCalls.ascx
    MinMaxAvgJitterGraph.ascx.cs
    MinMaxAvgPacketLossGraph.ascx.cs

    8. If you use Windows Server 2008, unblock each copied file by completing the following procedure:
    a. Right-click the file and select "Properties".
    b. Navigate to the "General" tab.
    c. If there is a security warning, click "Unblock".
    d. Click "OK".

    9. Restart all SolarWinds services in the Orion Service Manager.

    After applying this hotfix, the issues outlined in the description should no longer occur.

     

    To Uninstall this HotFix:

    1. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Services Manager.

    2. Stop all Orion services.

    3. Delete the following files:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\VoIP Monitor\SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Pollers.dll
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\bin\SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Web.dll
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\CallManager\ConnectedPhones.ascx.cs
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\FailedCalls.ascx
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\MinMaxAvgJitterGraph.ascx.cs
    C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Voip\Resources\PhoneDetails\MinMaxAvgPacketLossGraph.ascx.cs

     

    4. Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

    5. Select your SolarWinds VoIP and Network Quality Manager installation, and then click Change.

    6. Select Repair, and then click Next.

    7. Complete the wizard.

    8. If necessary, restart all Orion services.
