Cisco Call Manager 10.x

Version 1

This template assesses the overall performance of Cisco Call Manager 10.x by using the SNMP protocol.

Prerequisites: SNMP enabled on the Cisco Call Manager 10.x. The following article provides information on how to enable SNMP: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/service/4_2_3/ccmsrva/ccmsrva/sasnmp.html#wp1026907.

Credentials: None. (Uses the SNMP public string assigned to the node).

    Monitored Components

         Possible values:

1 - Current status of the CallManager is Unknown.

2 - CallManager is running and is able to communicate with other CallManagers.

3 - CallManager is Down or the agent is unable to communicate with the local CallManager.

    CM: Registered Phones

This monitor returns the number of phones that are registered and actively in communication with the local call manager.

    Syslog Notifications Sent

This monitor returns the number of notifications that have been sent. This number may include notifications that were prevented from being transmitted due to reasons such as resource limitations and/or non-connectivity. If one is receiving notifications, one can periodically poll this object to determine if any notifications were missed.

Note: This component has Count statistic as difference enabled. It will return the difference between two polling intervals.

    Syslog Ignored Messages

This monitor returns the number of syslog messages which were ignored.

Note: This component has Count statistic as difference enabled. It will return the difference between two polling intervals.

    Syslog Message Drops

This monitor returns the number of syslog messages which could not be processed due to lack of system resources. Most likely this will occur at the same time that syslog messages are generated to indicate this lack of resources. Increases in this monitor's value may serve as an indication that system resource levels should be examined. A message that is dropped will not appear in the history table and no notification will be sent for this message.

Note: This component has Count statistic as difference enabled. It will return the difference between two polling intervals.
