Network Atlas sees old volumes

We had some servers rebuilt, volumes were added, the data was consolidated to a smaller number of mounts and the remainder were removed. The remaining volume names were then made to be the same names as they were previously. Map icons went red as these volumes were now not responding.

Orion’s Network Atlas retained some of the discarded names although a List Resources from NPM 10.5 correctly found the current configuration. I was unable to get Network Atlas to see only the newly found disks and it insisted on displaying one or two if the previous drives per server. The maps containing these servers showed red icons because of the missing disks.

Finally I downgraded polling of these servers to ICMP only, then reapplied the SNMP credentials and added the volumes. Network Atlas became aware of the correct configuration, the previously created map icons returned to green and the SNMP collected history remained intact.
