Hi, all.  Be aware - Cisco products do not always support the Entity MIB.  If you need assistance with network inventory and asset management, PSIRTs and Field Notices mapping, EoX reporting, Service Contract (SmartNet) coverage status and renewals, Last Date of Support deadlines, etc., then contact the following entities as best fits your situation:

Your Cisco Partner               -     They can use a free program at Cisco to assist you - Cisco's 'Know the Network' Program

Your Cisco account team     -     Same program is used by Cisco internal account teams

What is KTN?  Doh just figured it out... Know the Network.

This is all well and good but what about when you have multiple cards on a Switch...when you create the report they're not identified they're just listed as serial numbers os you don't know which serial number belongs to which card, module etc...

If you have NCM then use it to report on Cisco device serial numbers.

If you have Multiple cards each card Serial number will be under its unique OID .

You can run SNMP Walk tool

C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds

Run SNMPWalk.exe

Enter ip address of the Node under "Agent Address or DNS name >Select Version " 2c / or 3 " Depending on the Node configured .Enter the " community String" configured for the device .

Scan and save the SNMPWALK file . 

Get the OID listing the serial number of the card

and follow the above steps to create UNDP as above.

Can someone please help prove to our manager that a serial number report is available for all of our Cisco devices with SolarWinds without the duplicates for cards? A report that spans SNMP v2/v3 configurations?

If we have 300 Cisco devices I don't see how creating UNDPs for each one is ideal?

Am I missing something here?
