SAM - Hardware Health Enablement Report

This Report shows which nodes are currently monitored for hardware health and which are not.

  • I'm not convinced that the select for CASE 1 actually works like it should.    Should show up as Disabled yet when I run against my thousand node network I don't find a single one of them that is disabled, they are all showing as Enabled or Not detected.   And I manually find a node or two where it is capable of Hardware health yet the check box is not checked which would indicate the Disabled condition since it is detected but not enabled.

  • Disabled is a specific dedicated function where hardware health information has been detected, but has been manually disabled for the host. If you're looking to enable Hardware Health for all nodes which are capable of supporting it then you'll need to run a scheduled discovery to enable this functionality en masse.

  • This is great!  What would I need to add to this report in order to be able to sort by specific node custom properties, such as CustomerName?

  • The report is written in SQL, so you would need to add the appropriate ascending/descending statement to the SQL query.

    E.G.  ORDER BY column_name,column_name ASC|DESC;

  • I converted this to a Web-based report and uploaded it here.  Thanks for this report, it helped out quite a bit in our environment.
