I have a issue where a windows server is issued a snmp restart command. Solarwinds relates this to a reboot message that shows up in events. Also if I create an alert based on last boot. The alert is triggered when the snmp agent is restarted. It does not read the actual windows uptime field but it seems just the snmp agent uptime.... To me this is desceptive as Solarwinds displays this as the servers uptime in node details field..... I sent a ticket in to support and they say there is no work around that is just the behavior of snmp... Surely is there not a way to read the windows system info for uptime via snmp????
We have situations where snmp needs to be restarted...While in the company Solarwinds portal it shows these servers as being rebooted which freaks out management!!!!
Also it can sqew the uptime reports !
