Alerting Menu & Message Center Concerns. Isn't there an easier way to acknowledge alerts?

The alerting section does not allow me to sort the columns
Message center fixes that issue!
But I can't acknowledge alerts in message center
Why can't I just acknowledge alerts right from one of the Alerting Dashboard modules?

These are big problems. I need my NOC to be able to easily identify, investigate, and acknowledge alerts.

Identify - The alerting dashboard widget is OK at this. Some alerts are hoverable, some are not. There is not and IP address or HOST column for no-hover identification.
Investigate - Once they start clicking and investigating, all the data they need is available.
Acknowledge - Multiple issues. See bullet-ed list above.
