Palo Alto Metrics

Palo Alto CPU does not distinguish Management and Dataplane in the overall CPU metric Orion displays.

Metrics are polled via SNMP which needs to be setup on the Palo Alto prior to applying this template. Disable any components that do not return results for your specific device.

  • This is true!  What I had to do is create custom pollers to read in the CPU array, and then construct my alerts to trigger on the correct cpu with the correct alerting thresholds.  There is a clean way to see which cpu is which, and some change positions from physical to logical, but the logical presentation is consistent.
