I would like to setup automation of maintenance schedules. For planned changes use the ticketing system and for emergency changes send an email. The goal is to have zero user interaction on the monitoring side and no set format for the emails. =)

One of our justifications for moving to Solarwinds was the desire to provide better (as in, "it exists") reports of uptime, downtime, alerts, incidents, etc. to our users. Now that we have the product and we're using it, my goal is to create a weekly report for each of the teams whose servers, etc. we support showing how each of their devices has performed.
We've had a history of applying server patches, and while the server may come back up, we come in Monday morning to some application outages! I'm going to using SolarWind's Application and Server monitoring tool to make sure we're never surprised again.
check out my LEM!

Hi, I want to use DPA to identify optimization searching and patterns among millions of records. I would like to learn more about the product itself, what algorithm uses to identify low and high frequency records. Example: CAR Ford GM Audi VW Other1 Other2 8% 14% 3% 1% 70% 4% Ricardo
Monitoring logs to prevent or reduce server down time is essential to any organization. We are working diligently to capture as much information as possible to diagnose issues with ERP systems like EPICOR. LEM Console FTW. Cheers! Antonio Cabrera IT Engineer PlayNetwork, Inc.
and deciding it's a network problem.
Spreadsheets aren't updated often enough, and Ping (or similar tools) aren't reliable enough. Hopefully getting IPAM configured will help.
So I no longer need a 2 page document just to help people find the right spreadsheet
To keep things operating and to know about a failure before the end users do, the Server and Application Monitor will help keep me ahead of the curve!
Getting detailed network diagrams out of NTM so I know what goes where.
Me: They neeeeed to be monitored carefully like the good servers they are... how the good server ? Jeffery Snover : Kill the server (cattle) .. Me: ...
we are using the LEM to give us alerts on different subsets and better performance
In 2016 i resolve to get the customer convinced that their bandwidth and network speed are indeed causes for way more issues experienced than they currently believe. Every year we fight issues of connectivity, resolution on cameras, how many servers to add, and every time data transfer speeds, and max packet sizes are the biggest hurdles. Its a secure network, and is completely encapsulated but once you're in, things go so slow it hurts. I would love to use more Solar winds tools to show thes …
I would like to monitor traffic on all of our remote links, as well as on our major pipes. We have many remote locations and I would like to be able to monitor the bandwidth going across all of the links at any given time.
Get the team to buy in on Active Responses that are Integrated in LEM. Great feature, but some here are apprehensive about allowing a server to actively perform tasks. Drives me crazy, but hopefully will get the buy in this year and hopefully sooner than later to decrease administrative costs especially for repetitive tasks.
I hope to use Real-Time Bandwidth monitoring to more closely monitor bandwidth for any irregularities occurring.
Utilizing Database Monitor, this year, I hope to be able to assist our DBA in fine tuning the SQL databases. We continue to overrun the CPU, and are getting ready to virtualize the servers. We have had many instances where our primary application gets disrupted. Utilizing the Database Monitoring Tool, we have already determined that SQL instance needs to be fine tuned. We should be able to use the tool gather information to provide application vendor in order to suggest tweaks to the databas …
