3/13/2015 - WE ARE WORKING WITH OUR VENDOR ON A NEW SPAM FILTER IN THE HOPES WE HAVE STOPPED THE SPAM ATTACKS FOR GOOD! WITH THAT BEING SAID, THIS NEW SPAM FILTER NEEDS SOME TIME TO "LEARN" WHAT IS AND WHAT IS NOT SPAM, SO YOU MAY NOTICE YOUR CONTENT (INCLUDING THE COMMUNITY TEAM ) BEING THROWN INTO A MODERATION QUEUE. WE ARE WORKING DILIGENTLY TO APPROVE THE CONTENT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. OVER TIME, THE SOFTWARE WILL BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS REAL CONTENT AND THE MODERATION REQUESTS WILL SUBSIDE.
I am writing this to address a few issues we are currently working to resolve in the thwack Community. We, along with our platform vendor and 5 other enterprise communities, are currently under a wave of spam attacks. The attacks started in our community yesterday during the morning hours on March 4th and have progressed into today, March 5th. We are working around the clock with our platform vendor to resolve this as quickly as possible, but we wanted to keep you in the loop on our progress and the security measures we have taken to help catch and eradicate these spammers, see update above.
We understand these circumstances are not ideal but we are actively watching and quickly approving requests that are coming in for new account creation and content moderation.
