We have successfully upgraded the thwack Community.  Below we have compiled a list of navigation points & actions that have moved around on the site.  We really hope you are enjoying the updated look and feel of the community, if we've missed anything please chime in on the comments below!

  1. Product Forums: This drop down will take you directly to all SolarWinds product forums.
  2. Product Roadmaps: This will take you directly to the "What We Are Working On" guide. From there you can choose your product to see what we have on the roadmap.
  3. *Network Management: This area highlights blogs and other conversations around "General Network Management" best practices and topics.  You will find related Geek Speak and Whiteboard blogs on these pages as well.
  4. *Systems Management: This area highlights blogs and other conversations around "General Systems Management" best practices and topics.  You will find related Geek Speak and Whiteboard blogs on these pages as well.
  5. *Security: This area highlights blogs and other conversations around "General IT Security" best practices and topics.  You will find related Geek Speak and Whiteboard blogs on these pages as well.

*You will not find specific information pertaining to SolarWinds products in these areas (network management, systems management, etc.) These locations are dedicated to general discussions as it relates to IT best practices, tips, and industry trends.


Where did "What we are working on" go?

There are 2 ways to find "what we are working on" information (AKA product roadmaps):

  1. In the global navigation, click on "Product Roadmaps".
  2. To find roadmaps specific to your product:
    1. Navigate to your product forum
    2. Front and center on all products forums you will find links to various available resources for that particular product.
    3. Click on "Product Roadmap" which you can find directly underneath "Get the most out of <your product>".

How do I find Feature Requests?

  1. Navigate to your product forum.
  2. Front and center on all products forums you will find links to various available resources for that particular product.
  3. Click on "Feature Requests" which you can find directly underneath "Get the most out of <your product>".

How do I find the Content Exchange?

  1. Navigate to your product forum.
  2. Front and center on all products forums you will find links to various available resources for that particular product.
  3. Click on "Content Exchange" which you can find directly underneath "Get the most out of <your product>".

  1. Navigate to your product forum.
  2. Front and center on all products forums you will find links to various available resources for that particular product.
  3. Click on "Documentation" which you can find directly underneath "Getting Started with <your product>".

How do I find Community Events?

There are 4 ways to find this information:

  1. On the top right side of the homepage.
  2. On the top of the "thwack Talk" page.
  3. Bookmark the Community Events, Webcasts & Training location.
  4. To find events specific to your product:
    1. Navigate to your product forum
    2. Front and center on all products forums you will find links to various available resources for that particular product.
    3. Click on "Webcasts & Events" which you can find directly underneath "Getting Started with <your product>".

How do the new profiles work?


     How do I "friend" someone? "Friend" is now called "follow".

Where did my "links" shortcut go?

This functionality was removed as apart of the upgrade process.  As a workaround, we suggest "following" or "bookmarking" locations of interest to you across thwack.
