SolarWinds, it would be so amazing if the Toolset Integration works with Maps. Let me explain, when you right click a node that is listed on a Summary Page, Top Page, etc.. you end up getting a submenu with all the tools and actions available for that node (i.e.: ssh / telnet), the problem is, when you have a Map with a topology (and most of the network guys like me do have) and your nodes are there, you just cant do anything from that beautiful topology . Please we do need integration working w …
Use-case User is able to use Toolset features in IPAM (telnet, whois, etc.)
Hi, NPM currently provides Multicast monitoring. However, we find multicast troubleshooting still fairly complex ..It would be good to have a Multicast Troubleshooting tab that incorporates the following - 1. Check Multicast Source 2. Check Multicast Network 3. Check Multicast Receivers Source / Reciver checks - show ip igmp groups show ip mroute Network checks - show ip pim neighbor show ip pim rp mapping mtrace mstat mping Some of these basic features could be a part of Eng …
Engineer's Toolset for the Web only supports MS SQL 2016. It needs to keep up with all other Orion Platform Tools as well. Come on ... it's 2019.
We have discovered an issue with the config download tools. Apparently when I try to run the tools against our newer Cisco 4300 series routers the MIB it uses is no longer correct. In the words of the Solarwinds tech... The MIB file on the devie OLD-CISCO-SYSTEM-MIB was replaced by CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB and this is what is being used by Cisco config download to process the request, but the device itself does not support this MIB. In our case we use this tool to pull a config to tweak …
Can you please provision a feature to export or import nodes using csv in to network monitor in Engineer toolset ? we heavily rely on temporary monitoring of all the hosts on the network (dumping it from ARP tables) to verify that all hosts are reachable after a change l(i.e Hardware replacement). With current model it is painful to select each node after importing please make it default to select all nodes. Thanks. Srini.
ETS has been around for quite some time now. It is high time that it also received it's due User Experience is supposed to be constantly upgraded. A few things that need to be done - Pop-up or highlight a Node Down or Interface down : Under the Network Monitor using Toolset Launchpad, the engineer using the desktop version may have toolset minimized so it would be nice for the engineer to see a POP-UP for a node down or interface down. If the window is not minimized, it would be helpful to …
The idea here is not a full-IPAM, nor a full-SwitchPortMapper. Basically, I would like a real-time query where I enter an IP address (or device name), and then a seed router (a list of seed routers could be made available)m and then press search. The utility then would use DNS, Route tables, PING, ARP, MAC Address tables, CDP, LLDP, etc, to track the IP address down to a switch and port. I do this at least a couple times a month to find out where such and such device is connected to the network. …
