Want to add a multi-vendor storage hardware monitoring, such as power supplies, fans, temperature, controller battery, SFP modules, UPS, disk and other hardware information. Now the problems frequently encountered are: disk failure can not be timely warning.

Pretty much borrowing from my post HERE; SRM just doesn't feel like an integrated piece of Orion like other components such as NPM, SAM, NCM, etc. Aside from utilizing the same WebUI, everything feels completely separate. A few of the things I have noticed thus far are as follows: The performance graphs don't have an export button so you can see different date/time ranges for performance data When storage systems are added into SRM they are not added into Orion for the collection of other …

Currently, there is no option to create custom checks (checks which are not inbuilt) in SRM. It will be really nice if this feature is added in SRM with an option to use API, SMI-S or ssh (similar to templates in SolarWinds SAM) Example: Suppose I want to monitor if dedup is enabled on Netapp volumes or not. Currently, this check is not available in SRM. It will be nice to have an option to monitor this using Netapp SDK.

Netapps are monitored quite well in SRM but there appears to be no hardware monitoring and no Node Status for Cluster mode. Most problems in cluster mode are directly related to the status of one of the nodes. At the moment if you were to remove one of the nodes from the cluster SRM would still think everything is fine but the cluster is actually heavily degraded. A few things we would like to see are; Cluster Overall Node Status Physical NIC Status of Nodes Hardware status of Nodes …

I have been told recently by Solarwinds Support that Netapp Replication Failures cannot be monitored by any of the suite of products yet. I am asking for this feature to be included in SRM. Often I do not know that replication between our primary facility and DR has failed without manually checking it. It would be great to be able to know whether the failure was on the sending side or the receiving side as well but I would settle for just knowing that replication failed so action can be taken on …
