I would really like to see an ability to see all the details about Thresholds in website widgets associated with objects whether they be Nodes, Interfaces, SAM Component Monitors, etc. Where we do see Thresholds displayed, here-and-there, but you only see the associated Threshold Number and not the other details. In a SAM…
When 2020.2 was released, the SAM team was nice enough to provide us with a set of application templates to monitor core SolarWinds Orion services. I then asked if these templates were "HA-aware" and a few more templates were created for use on the standby node in a pool. However, what we *really* need is more intelligent…
A wizard that would prompt for API inputs and create an API call, along with a JSON/XML parser to glean data from the response and assign it to a monitored node. Need your input for refinement. And GO!
Hey Team! It would be pretty amazing if we could get a feature wherein if we delete an agent via the console, the agent package on the server should not only get uninstalled but also be completely deleted from the machine. Thereby we wouldn't have to manually log-in to the machine and delete the uninstalled package. This…
Looking for the implementation of a setting that can be enabled/disabled that will remove duplicate nodes from Orion. Today, customers have to run a find duplicate query in the Nodesdata table and manually remove each individual node from the GUI in order to remove duplicates. For a small organization, manual intervention…
Whilst SolarWinds High-Availability does certainly assist with this by providing resiliency which is great... there's still a huge void when it comes to load-balancing the polling loads of all the Orion engines. It's either a very manual task as the load increases or requires development of a custom scripted / alert…
Providing the same level of monitoring for Oracle as SAM has for MSSQL via AppInsight for SQL. Table Sizes, index fragmentation, individual database statuses, connections, most expensive queries, etc.
Sometimes it's desirable to have different polling frequencies for an individual component within an Application Template. Today the only option available is to break component monitors up into multiple applications templates, as the polling frequency is set at the application template level. SAM should allow users the…
I want to draw attention to frequency/timeout. One thing would be nice if we could have a dropdown for minutes/hours/days to make things easier, but another would be if we could schedule this. Say, for example run this at 11AM every day or 11PM every night? Maybe with a menu similar to report scheduling or alert scheduling.
We heavily utilize the Manage Groups feature in creating site health dashboards. As this grows I find it increasingly more difficult and cumbersome to sift through page after page of parent groups to find one that I am looking for to maybe see what I did or to update it. It would be nice to have a simple search box where I…
