Latest Cattools on SG300 switches?

Can the latest RC of Cattools perform config backups on Cisco Small Business SG300 switches? We are having a hard time getting this working over SSH with TACACS.

  • Yes, There is a new device type added called 'Cisco.SmallBusiness'. Please have a try on that.

    Thanks,

    Nanda

  • Hello,

    Please follow the below steps,

    1.Edit the device info.

2.Get in to variations by click the last tab 'Variations' and click on 'Use Variations>>'.

3.Click on 'Full Prompts' and set as I have attached(CSB-Variations.png).

4.Save the details and run the activity. Still have issues post me the debug log.

    Thanks,

    Nanda

  • Thank you Nanda

will try it later today and feedback

    Sent from my iPhone

  • How do I do this when the hostname on my device is arbitrary and changes? I do not want to have to enter the hostname on every "Full Prompts" section.

  • Nanda

this worked first time; many thanks for your help

I am pleased with the results

    dave

  • ooops spoke too soon!!

closer inspection of the saved config reveals there are unwanted "more" statements as below every page as the config is "scrolled through"

    voice vlan oui-table add 000fe2 H3C_Aolynk______________

    voice vlan oui-table add 0060b9 Philips_and_NEC_AG_phone

    [0m <space>,  Quit: q or CTRL+Z, One line: <return> voice vlan oui-table add 00d01e Pingtel_phone___________

    voice vlan oui-table add 00e075 Polycom/Veritel_phone___

    voice vlan oui-table add 00e0bb 3Com_phone______________

    i added in another variation for...paging ...

    More: <space>,  Quit: q or CTRL+Z, One line: <return>

this improved it but i am still seeing

    [0m

embedded in the config wherever a page was...

  • and the answer was....

    more variations ...

select the "strip vt100 ESC" and "strip null"

then the output is as expected and works ok

  • Dave,

That is nice to hear that it is working fine.

    Thanks,

    Nanda

  • Hello,

If you have a valid license, please open a support ticket, we will try to avoid the variation input for prompts in the case of arbitrary.

You can mention about this thwack thread in support ticket and ask the support rep to forward the ticket to me.

    Thanks,

    Nanda
