existing monitors missing in AppBuilder

I am attempting to build a new component monitor using AppBuilder. When I get to the step where I am supposed to be able tyo choose "scratch or copy", I do not see any existing monitors in the drop down menu. The only menu choice is "Create a new component monitor". What happened to all of my existing component monitors?
