I have NCM set to download configurations every night but only keep configs that have changed.
I also just setup NCM to purge configurations older then two months. (Do not want to use the keep last 10 etc... option)
The problem I expect to encounter (purge runs tonight) is that some devices will have all their configurations purged because they have not been changed over the last two months.
Is this indeed the case? or does NCM know to keep at least the most recent. If it does not keep the most recent is their a way to do this?
Thank You,
You are correct, if you haven't made a change in 2 months the purge will delete all of them.
No way to set that, however, once they are all gone, the next download will not have one to compare against so it will download the latest config and you will then have one.
Thanks for the confirmation Lorenzo.
I realized afterwards I'll just schedule FULL download of configurations once a month. Then I will always have a config if performing a purge on a two month window.
