There are a couple of ways to find what is happening. First I would walk the MIB2 interface tables and see that they populating (not all 0). If this looks good I would do a packet capture on the NPM server and filter for SNMP to and from that device only. This may show errors that are causing the issue.
One thing you might try before all of this is to rediscover the device.

Thanks for your suggestions.
I did an SNMP walk from a 3 rd party tool and i did receive results.
The packet capture had an error for the Header checksum.
Also a rediscovery did not fix the issue.
Kindly provide some more pointers.
