Does FOE really need NetBIOS?

Hi,

FOE requires NetBIOS
p.13 (NetBIOS enabled)

But whether NetBIOS is enabled or not, the behavior(ex. switchover) seems the same.

• Does FOE really need NetBIOS?
• Can we disable NetBIOS in FOE environment?

If FOE doesn't really need NetBIOS, we would like to disable it to reduce NetBIOS packet(NBNS).

If it is possible, could you please advise me?
