I have tried to upgrade Cisco switch via solarwinds tftp server, but there is problem. Sniffing with wireshark shows that udp/69 request is going to my PC. But log in console doesn`t change. There is nothing. Trying to connect locally is successful ( tftp -i 127.0.0.1 get <filename>). Using tftpd from Fujitsu ServerView Suite DVD resolves this problem. Looks like everything working. But what happens whith my Solarwind TFTP Server? It suddenly stop working.
Any ideas? I would like to use Solarwinds TFTP as service, but I cann`t...
Hello,
sorry for my late response. I will contact you using Private Message to get the packet capture from you.
Hello!
I found that it was Windows bug. It is very difficult to troubleshoot core problems in tcp/ip stack in Win. I found many other problems with another software.
I think I will reinstall OS.
Thanks!
rusnino,
Could you please share with the public the steps you have performed to troubleshoot this issue?
Thank you.
I just found that I can tftp(and ftp, maybe another protocols) from local connected devices, but cann`t connect from remote branches. I lost so much time to resolve problem, but nothing found. I decided that it is Windows bug. I think, you cannot replicate my issue.
