APM 4.2 Feature Requests

jspanitz
  1. When in the applicaiton view of an app (such as SQL, IIS, etc) and looking at the Application Details resource or the Components resource, can we have the ability to sort by the column headers.  Ex:
    • Component Name
    • Component Type
    • Component Status
  2. In the same view or when drilling down to the individual component view, a way to see and set threshold values (override? if taken from template and only if you have permission to do so).
  3. Graphs that have the ability to show the thresholds for the component (a solid line or colored area of the graph).
  4. Different Chart types - something other than bar charts with a 0% to 100% scale please.

In addition to bar charts we also have line charts, linear gauges and radial gauges. Is there another chart type you'd like to see in APM?

We're currently investigating the ability to SolarWinds APM–What’s on tap for vNext? in the application template. Would this satisfy your needs?

Duly noted. We're tracking this internally as FB84532

In the latest SAM 5.2 beta we've incorporated Warning and Critical thresholds into the charts displayed in the web console. If you're an existing APM/SAM customer under active maintenance you can sign-up here to participate in the beta. We'd love to get your feedback on this feature.
