No devices in Atlas and no maps in EOC map convertor

I have 2 orions and 1 EOC. All three are on different sites and in different AD domains, no cross over allowed, just ports 17777 and "80" allowed through firewalls.

The EOC is collecting/displaying data and by providing the correct credentials to my account can navigate from EOC to Orions

BUT map convertor says it cannot connect to either Orion. I suspect security issue, has anyone used it in this configuration or does it only work if the same account exists on all 3 systems.

    Darryl,

Map convertor uses credentials, which has the current windows user created in EOC for concrete Orion. For cross domain scenarios I would recommend to use Orion Account (like Admin) instead of Windows Account. Also, the account has to have Node Management rights on the Orion.

Please also make sure you are using latest converter version, which is 1.3.0.18

Thanks for the suggestion. Created local orion accounts on both Orions and used them and convertor works but atlas has no devices listed and all objects on the maps are grey (unknown) when viewed through the web console. All the custom property fields are offered in the group-by field so it looks like atlas is talking to the orions

Darryl, how are you connecting to Network Atlas, when you dont see any devices in there ? You mean devices on the map, or in the left devices list ?

The whole process of conversion is chaging Orion Objects on the map to EOC objects, but before checking conversion process, we need to be sure we can see all EOC objects in NA.

I would check if you are able to open NA and connect to EOC server with some credentials. If you are able to see nodes in the left object list. If you arent, there is probably some kind of limitation problem on your EOC account.

Second problem there might be that you can see the object in the left object list properly with their statuses, but objects will not be displayed with proper status on the converted map. That would mean that conversion was unsuccessfull. Usually, you then see Tooltip of the object in the form of "NUMBER | NUMBER" and has unknown status.

I connect to NA with an account that has admin status on EOC. The account is allowed to connect to two Orions using an Orion local account (not windows) which has admin, node management, customisation rights.

In NA I see all maps listed on left hand pane and the two Orion Servers but not the individual nodes

If I open one of the maps and hover over one of the nodes I get the tooltip:

                          EOC.node :2|88

                          Object status is unknown
