was able to download beta 3 this morning. uninstalled all previous beta components and rebooted. Installed fine, but have had a couple of errors with the config manager.
#1 - setting up the beta to use a (full version) sql database on a seperate server
"Runtime error '-2146233088 (80313500)': Resource Key 'CFGDATA_VB0_27' was not found in the Resource File 'Core.Strings'
#2 after clicking OK on the Runtime error- the wizard finished with
"Website configuration failed" Method not found: 'System.Collections.Generic.List'1 <SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Models.Discovery.DiscoveryPluginInfo> SolarWinds.Orion.Discovery.Framework.Pluggability.DiscoveryPluginFactory.GetDiscoveryPluginInfos()'.
Rerunning the config wizard for just the DB reproduces the Runtime, and gives me the same website configuration error (but I didnt check Website when I launched the config wizard..)
After uninstall did you delete the Program Files (x86)/SolarWinds/Orion folder?
I wonder if there were some files hanging around that are causing your second error.
I cannot run beta 3 either:
---------------------------
Orion Network Perfomance Monitor
---------------------------
Could not connect to net.tcp://npmtest:0/orion/core/businesslayer. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:00. TCP error code 10049: The requested address is not valid in its context 10.101.10.87:0.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Confirm that the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine service is running, as shown in the following steps:
1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Services.
2. Right-click SolarWinds Orion Module Engine, and then click Start.
2. Your antivirus may be blocking some necessary ports.
3. If the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine service is already running, contact SolarWinds Support.
4. Refresh the Orion Web Console browser.
5. If the Orion Web Console does not display, contact SolarWinds Support.

Your issue appears to be an issue with the configuration wizard. Could you upload diagnostics for us so we can take a look? Did you try this on a fresh system/database?
Thanks

Daniel,
I looked into the diags and it seems that the problem is in licensing. I've sent you email to work directly with you on your issue.

You may also want to check the website directory (C:\inetpub\solarwinds by default) for any bits left behind.
thanks for the suggestions. Ill delete everything and start new.
