Top Ten Interface Percent Utilization custom filter

Try this out in the filter Interfaces section.It should work.

I tried that and it doesn't work. System returns "Custom SQL filter is incorrectly formated ."

Can I try anything else?

Here is a series of steps.

1.To add the custom property Region,
 Open Start-->Solarwinds Orion-->Grouping and access control-->Custom Property editor-->Add custom property-->check "region" field
2.Bring up the Orion and select the Node from the Summary page.
3.Select "Edit Custom Property Values" option under the 'Custom Properties for Nodes' section
4.Name the region.example 'UK'
5.Repeat this for all the Nodes
6.Select Home-->Top10 and look for "Top10 Interfaces by Percent Utilization"
7.Select Edit and under Filter Interfaces.Give Region='UK'

Would you like to try this.

Region like '%UK%'

Just in case you might have left any space before or after naming in the region data field.

And also just review the steps mentioned above and let us know how different is it from yours.

Region like '%UK%' doesn't work either I'm afraid.

I also tried following the steps you provided, but I don't undestand Step 2. Can you explain further?

Also, regarding Step 5, have hundreds of nodes, so I'd rather not have to repeat this process hundreds of times.

I would like to see a screen shot of "Custom Property for Nodes" from the Custom Property editor.(You may blur out the important information in the screen shot,I mainly want to see the Region field)

Hi,

if your filter is Node.Region='UK', it can not work as the table name is Nodes. Simply change the SQL filter to Nodes.Region='UK'.
