I use CatTools to back up my switch configurations. I have a Cisco Nexus 7000. It backs up fine, except the config from the 7000 contains the date of the SHOW RUN, which causes the configuration to appear to be CHANGED every day. Is there a way around this?
Hi Chris--
I checked with the Product Manager and she tells me that the developer has reached out to you in an off-thwack email. Please post your results here for the community and thwack-email me if you didn't get your issue resolved.
Thx,
M
I received a patch from Gareth at CatTools development which addresses my issue and no longer marks the configuration as changed if the only difference is the TIME: timestamp line auto-generated by SHOW RUN. Thanks!!
I assume this patch will be included in the next release of CatTools. If you need the patch in the meantime, Twack CatTools with a request.
We are using NCM to back up our Nexus 7Ks and are running into the same problem. Will there be a fix for NCM as well as CatTools?
Thanks!
