getting data from an Aruba RAP 2

Hey folks!

My company has 250 telecommuters, so far, using the RAP 2 from Aruba in wired mode. It seems Aruba supports SNMP but their RAPs only talk to their controllers. We also have 30 or so Aruba access points here on campus and SOME but not all of them appear in Wireless in NPM.

Has anyone had any luck getting useful information out of the wired RAPs? We have users complaining of slow performance, disconnects, etc. and I need to find SOME way to gather diagnostic info. The Aruba controllers report on the wireless RAPS but it seems I'm out of luck with my 250 wired users. Any ideas?

Did you ever have any luck finding a solution to monitoring the wired Rap 2 Aruba solution. We are looking at deploying the same for our telecommuters.

Sorry Jay, but I didn't. Once we got the Aruba controller sending traffic to NPM, there was just too much traffic to handle. And unfortunately, the data wasn't particulary valuable. Lots of reports of "rogue" wireless access points and other things I wasn't interested in but I didn't get any user experience info so I pulled the plug. Aruba makes a product (Amp?) that is supposed to be able to monitor Rap performance but we couldn't seem to get a test of it off the ground.
