I think the first 500 are Charter Members. Assuming the 1251 number is correct there are only 73 more people after you to be Charter Members.

Impressed how quickly the SCP certification package arrived.
Passed my SCP a couple of days ago and I think I am the 500th... My certificate is number SCP1750. The PDF version on the Certmetrics website doesn't say anything about me being a charter member though.
How hard is this to pass when all you have is NPM (full version) or trials of other applications?
A lot of the exam (I think I've seen it claimed something like 66%) is actaully not on the SolarWinds products but on general networking and troubleshooting abilities; so just knowing NPM won't be enough. On saying that, I don't have any formal networking qualifications - just what I've learnt through reading the Cisco ICND1 book and some hands-on switch and router stuff at work but I still managed to pass. I don't think APM/SAM came into the exam, and I forget if NCM was there.
The certification secion of the website does give you a lot of information on the 5 core areas the exam looks at, along with a sample test and links to a lot of SolarWinds' own learning materials.
