F5 Pool Report - orphaned pools not in use

has anyone figured out how to identify F5 pools not assigned to a virtual server?  going through it now but haven't been able to tie everything together

Would be nice to get rid of nodes not in pools and pools not in virtual servers

TIA

  • I made one for our LTM showing pools with zero members available' and total pool members - sorted on the total.  You can pretty much derive the orphaned pools and servers from that...

  • Thanks but the problem I'm seeing are pools with members live that are no longer in use or attached to any live VIP

And on our development F5 a lot of the pool can be totally down for extended periods before they are brought back up again for testing.

Same thing goes with SSL profiles, client certs, nodes...

iHealth does some of this (and I believe it used to do the pools as well) but that seems to have gone away with the latest.
