My Bio

I was born at a very young age and soon fell over. When I got back up I went to school and ended up with a degree in Chemistry. After doing my undergrad research in "Heavy Metal Contamination in the Santa Monica Bay", I stopped swimming in the Santa Monica Bay and Moved to Texas where I now reside with my beautiful wife, two scheming dogs and a pond full of frisky amphibians.

UPDATE!

We traded the pond house for a house in South Yuppieville (Circle C Ranch) with a pool. The frogs will have to fend for themselves.

Agreed.  DOES impact SNMP.  Symantec workaround was to "allow" ID of 21976  within the SEP management console.

Choose "policies," Intrusion Prevention policy, edit shared, exemptions then find the ID mentioned above and "allow."  Then right click on "clients" to "run command on group," "update content."

They're working on a fix.  Dammit.

We just dealt with that for a few hours this morning.  It DOES impact ICMP, every time the Polling Engine attempted to do a SNMP GetBulk, SEP11 Network Threat Protection would block all traffic, including ICMP Ping to/from our Polling Engine.  This ofcourse gave us many many false positives at 1am when the updates were applied.
