Directory Analysis 1st level

Hi,

I want to create a report, let's say for a Windows file server monitored by STM.

I give you an example to be easier to understand.

Let's say on drive E:, I have 7 folders ( 1st level ) each of them with their own structure of subfolders.

I want this report to be generated for the 1st directory level, so for each of this folder:

   - Directory Count including subdirectories

   - File Count including subdirectories

   - Total File Size MB including subdirectories

Something like this:

Row  Device
Name

Root
Directory Name

Directory
Name

Directory
Count (includes sub-directories)

File
Count (includes sub-directories)

Total
File Size MB (includes sub-directories)

     1.        Server              E:                      Folder1                        14200                                             167800                                                           834

     2.        Server              E:                      Folder2                        3600                                                7523                                                              125

    ....

  • This can be done today. You just need to have an admin share for the E drive, and define this monitoring from Settings > Assign Local Shares and choose a Share Depth of 1. All the information above is available in the 'File Age Categories by Access Time' or 'File Age Categories by Modified Time' reports
