Audit Tracking

We have upgraded from NPM 10.3/SAM 5.0 to NPM 10.6/SAM 6.0.1 and I have already created some Auditing Event Reports using Report Writer.  This feature will be very valuable to our organization.  Thanks again!  Shawn

Thanks so much for adding the Audit feaure!  It was much needed.  Now I just have to wait until we upgrade our NPM as we are stll at v10.3.1

Filially, just need to get the change approved to in implement it.

I have a love - hate relationship with this feature.  There appears to be no way to make available Audit Tracking to users that do not have Admin rights.  Thus, I'm simply able to watch techs propagate invalid information into NPM without making their group accountable to one another.

I like being able to see who screwed up data, but I do not want to be put into a baby-sitting position with this feature.  This should be something that I can make available to power users either through the Message Center or through Report Writer.  For example "Orion/Report.aspx?Report=Last_100_Audit_Events" does not display any data even though that group of users has the Reports feature available.

I humbly request some flexibility in this feature so that I can make the techs accountable to each other for keeping things neat.  Their manager does not even have rights to this since they are not an Admin user.

Some of the audit tracking has been announced in the NPM 10.4 release...I'm eagerly awaiting as well.

I just found this thread...this is something that I would find extremely useful. I even created a report that would tell me when nodes were added/removed or unmanaged so I could try and deduce who could have made the change based on recent change controls. This feature would be a great way for me to save that time. Please put this into a future release...the sooner the better
